Founded by Dr. Sandya Myadam, a UK-trained medical doctor and certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, San-té blends Western medicine with Eastern healing practices to offer a truly integrative approach.

San-té was created to bridge the gap between conventional medicine and holistic wellness. Meet Dr. Sandya Myadam

I was raised in Nottingham, famously associated with Robin Hood, and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BMedSci in Physiology and Pharmacology. My early research was even published in the British Journal of Pharmacology.

After completing my medical training in the UK, I pursued a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, and later worked at Fernandez Hospital, closely supporting patients undergoing infertility treatments.

At 37, with two young children, I faced a life-threatening diagnosis. That experience shifted everything. It made me see health and illness differently. It made me ask new questions:

  • What if we could have caught this earlier?
  • What if they were supported with a more holistic perspective?

During my recovery, I embraced nutrition, long walks, meditation, and journaling. Today, at 52, I feel better than ever,  grounded, healthy, and whole through yoga, strength training, cardio, and intuitive eating.

In my studies at IIN, I was struck by the staggering statistic: nearly half a million deaths annually in the US are linked to medication side effects. This reinforced my belief in lifestyle medicine as a crucial part of healthcare.

Later, I returned to medicine in a health-screening role. But my journey deepened my empathy and changed how I approach care. I understand that being told to ‘eat better’ or ‘stress less’ isn’t enough. You need tools, support, and guidance to make lasting changes. That’s what we offer at San-té.

Returning to medicine in a health-screening capacity, I brought with me a deeper empathy. As a patient, I learned how overwhelming health advice can be. It’s easy to tell someone to “lose weight” or “manage stress.” It’s far harder to help them build a sustainable lifestyle that supports those goals.
